Welcome to Travelian. By using our website (www.travelian.co.za) or engaging our travel services, you agree to the terms and conditions set out below. These terms apply to all website users, travel inquiries, and bookings made through Travelian.
1. Use of Website
The site is intended to provide general information and promote our travel services. Users may not misuse the site or use it for any unlawful or malicious purposes.
2. Bookings and Quotes
Travel bookings made through Travelian are subject to availability and confirmation. All quotes are subject to change and are only valid for a limited time, depending on the terms provided by our third-party suppliers (such as airlines, hotels, cruise lines, car rental companies, and tour operators).
Quotes are not binding until confirmed in writing by Travelian and a deposit or full payment is received, as required.
3. Third-Party Suppliers
Travelian acts as an agent for various third-party travel suppliers. While we take care in choosing reputable partners, we are not responsible for their performance or services. All bookings are subject to the specific terms and conditions of the supplier.
Travelian does not accept liability for:
Any cancellations, changes, or disruptions caused by suppliers
Force majeure events (e.g. weather, strikes, natural disasters, pandemics)
Losses, damages, or injuries sustained during travel
4. Travel Documents and Requirements
It is your responsibility to ensure that you have:
A valid passport (with appropriate validity period)
Required visas for your destination(s)
Vaccination and health certificates, where applicable
Travel insurance
Travelian will provide guidance but cannot be held responsible for denied boarding or entry due to incomplete documentation.
5. Payments and Cancellations
Payment terms vary by supplier and will be communicated clearly in your quotation or invoice. Unless otherwise stated:
A deposit is required to confirm your booking
Full payment is typically due 6–8 weeks before departure
Cancellations may result in penalties or partial refunds, depending on supplier policy
Refunds are processed once received from the supplier and may be subject to administrative fees.
6. Amendments
Changes to bookings after confirmation may incur amendment fees and are subject to availability. We will always do our best to accommodate requests but cannot guarantee changes without cost.
7. Travel Insurance
Comprehensive travel insurance is strongly recommended for all bookings. Travelian can assist in obtaining a policy, but final responsibility lies with the traveler.
Insurance should cover: medical emergencies, trip cancellations, baggage loss, personal liability, and unforeseen travel disruptions.
8. Pricing and Currency
All prices are subject to availability and exchange rate fluctuations. Final pricing will be confirmed at time of booking. Travelian reserves the right to correct pricing errors or adjust costs based on supplier increases.
9. Privacy and Data Protection
We respect your privacy and handle all personal information in accordance with applicable laws. Your data will only be used for the purpose of arranging travel services or communicating with you.
10. Liability Disclaimer
Travelian will not be liable for:
Delays, cancellations, or defaults by third-party suppliers
Loss of or damage to personal property
Illness, injury, or death during travel
Errors or omissions beyond our reasonable control
Our role is advisory and administrative. By booking through Travelian, you acknowledge these limitations.
11. Changes to Terms
Travelian reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. Any changes will be posted on our website. Continued use of our services implies acceptance of the updated terms.
